Port Townsend is a big splash

     Port Townsend has something going on every weekend. However, their biggest event of the year is the Wooden Boat Festival. It is also the largest Wooden Boat Festival in the world with more than 300 wooden vessels.

     This three day event is crammed with educational activites for the boating enthusiats, so if you are looking for the care of your boat, the latest innovation or just want to find a great buy on a used  or new boat, this is the place to be. Plus the whole town is a treat.

 

Time:

Fri-Sat: 9 AM to 7 PM

Sun: 9 AM to 5 PM

 

Location: Port Townsend waterfront - 431 Water Street 98368

 

Cost:

    One-Day Tickets - $15 (or $10 for seniors 65+ and teens 13-19)

    Multi-Day Tickets (Fri-Sun) - $30 (or $20 for 65+ and teens 13-19)

 

Tips.

 * If you are taking pictures of boats, keep an eye on the dock.
* Don't forget to tour the rest of the town with Victorian homes, Fort Worden State Park, Point Wilson Lighthouse and a lot of good restaurants and art galleries.
