Seattle Tree Lighting Ceremony

Friday November 29, 2012 -

Black Friday receives lights

After the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade people go shopping then around 2 to 3 pm you will start to see large crowds work for position in front of the Westlake Center.  By 4 pm it is crowded and the entertainment starts. 5 pm the mayor gives his speech, then the choir and emcee enhance the evening before the lights are turned on the official tree of Seattle. But wait, it's not over, fireworks light the sky from the top of the Macy's building.

This is a very well organized event  with lots of ways to keep the 10 to 20,000 people entertained.  It is a wonderful show with a good message for the season.
