Seattle Bon Odori

July 20 & 21,  2013  - www.seattlebetsuin.org

Japanese culture comes alive

This event  is like a cultural street dance. First the Bon Odori opens up with a series of events, You are going to see an earth pounding demonstration of Taiko Drums, a martial arts demonstration, that you won't want to try at home, followed by some delicious Japanese food. I love the Yakisoba.

But do not get too full because thousands will fill the street to do colorful Japanese folk dances. There are really more people in the street dancing than watching.
