2013 Washington State Fair (formerly Puyallup Fair)

September 6 - 22,  2013  -

17 days in September  - you have to make room for this one

The Washington State Fair is one of the top 10 attended fairs in the world. Part of it is because of their great marketing and PR. But to build year after year you have to deliver the goods - and The Washington State Fair (used to be known as Puyallup Fair) does.

Let me just list a few hundred things to do and see: Western Rodeo Parade & Cattle Drive, Mutton Busting for kids, Karaoke Contest, Let's Pretend Farm Time, Trout Fishing Pond, Giant Pumpkin Carving, Planting Patch, Face Painting, Concert Series, Wrangler Pro Rodeo, over 70 rides to choose from, exhibits in agriculture and horticulture, ahh heck, there is not enought room to list everything. Just go and see. It takes 17 days to see everything.

Sun-Thurs 10 am to 10 pm

Fri-Sat 10 am to 11 pm

Location: Washington State Fairgrounds, Puyallup

Cost: Admission to fairgrounds $12.50 adults

parking: $10 weekdays

              $12 weekends.

Rides, concerts and some exhibits cost more. Outstanding concerts this year.

 *  A great family event and can be very educational.

* A fun place for teenagers to hang out.

* Great place to take a date or spouse (If you take both I hope it is the same person for your sake.)
