Fremont Solstice Parade

June 22, 2013   -

Creative outfits at their finest

The Fremont Solstice Parade is a one-of-a-kind event. They use creativity to build a stronger community. Funky and friendly best describes the Fremont district. In the parade organizer’s own words;  “We welcome wild, weird, engaging, surprising, delightful, beautiful, collaborative, innovative art of all stripes." That pretty well describes it.
The police used to chase down the unauthorized totally naked bicyclists who would paint their bodies for art, but not anymore. The police just say; “Hey it's Fremont.” The parade ends at Gasworks Park where two more events start.

Time: Starts at 12 noon last 2 hours

Location:  3 PM in downtown Fremont which is in NW Seattle. N 36th Street to Gas Works Park

Cost: Free

 * There is very little parking in Fremont, If you can get there by bike, bus, or walking, do.

* Advisory Warning - If you have a problem with total nudity this parade is not for you. While there is a very small percentage, people paint their bodies in creative ways. This has been going on for years.
