Fourth of July - Seattle Day Activities
July 4, 2013 - www.seattletimes.com
Parties, celebrations and ceremonies
Early in the morning, boats start positioning themselves in Lake Union Bay for the 4th of July Fireworks Show. By the time of the show, you can almost walk across the boats to each party. Thousands also gather at Gas Works Park for the best view and party atmosphere.
But there's more going on in Seattle. At the Seattle Center hundreds of foreigners receive their US citizenship. Everyone of them has an interesting story and background. All around the city, proud Americans don their flag colors to show their patriotism. Alki Beach in West Seattle seemed to be a hotspot for the young.
